The Italian Lesson
It’s a long story, but here’s the too-long-didn’t read version. Backstory Serial is the creation of E. Jean Carroll, Jen Taub, and Mary Trump who became friends at the height of the COVID pandemic. Here you (and we) will find a place to hang out, form a new community, and BE CREATIVE.
Over the next year, we will be serializing a romance novel called The Italian Lesson. There will be plenty of special features which you can read about here, but our main focus will always be the story. A new installment of The Italian Lesson will be released twice a week, on Fridays and Tuesdays, so by the end of approximately twelve months, the entire story will have been told. And then another new serialized novel will follow (there is no shortage of ideas among the three of us).
Until Friday June 23, 2023, anybody who visits Backstory Serial will have access to everything we publish here, including the first two chapters of The Italian Lesson, recipes, knitting patterns, and more. (You can fined details on the About page.
For that same period of time, everybody will be able to comment on all posts and E. Jean Carroll (yes, the E. Jean Carroll) will be responding to your comments.
We hope you will stay on the journey with us beyond that—we promise, it is going to be an amazing ride.
What a cool idea! E. Jean, thank you for being a gutsy lady who didn't back down. All us ladies, and guys too, should be gutsy enough to stand up to bullies. The world would be a much better place. Looking forward to "hanging out" with all three of you in the coming months! ❤️
I just saw your interview about this on Deadline White House. I cannot say romance is my genre, but I can’t wait to read. And congratulations on getting some justice against that entitled evildoer, who has evaded justice and accountability his entire despicable life. 👩🏼⚖️⚖️👺
