I love seeing all the variations in color and even patterns - that’s one I’d the things that’s so cool about knitting: give everyone the same pattern and look at all the unique masterpieces. I used to knit quite a bit - many years ago - and this is the project and the group that’s getting me back into it. Thanks everyone, now that I have my yarn I can’t wait for the next zoom for further inspiration and news about Joyce’s young chicks!
I love looking at the photos of everyone’s wonderful creations! I think I shall have a go at it. Haven’t knit in 55 years since being in Brownies! (The little girl’s group…..not the dessert).
Absolutely loving the diversity of projects, as well as the sharing of them. So many to be inspired from, and I hope to see you all continue on with what you are doing. Thank you all for keeping me inspired!
Everyone of the pictures posted are beautiful!!!! My grandmother taught me how to knit when I was very young 10-11? My fingers are itching to get some needles & start stitching! 🪡🧶
Wow! All of these are so creative and inspiring! I'm happy to report my piece is now at about 6 inches. At this rate, to get to 70 inches, at 2 inches per day, my beautiful scarf will be ready just in time for winter!!
You are all inspiring me! The last time I knitted anything was in 2017 when I made a bunch of pink hats... ;-) that was fun and for a good cause! Before that, I hadn't knitted since I was a teenager.
Oh ladies I am so envious!! Beautiful!! I hope I am addressing the correct person but @Laurie Hammons a the contrast is lovely!! I was scrolling and tilting you device just a tad - the contrast definitely shows. Great mix of colors!!
All of these are great! Enjoy and if there is a Zoom calls for clumsy knitters who have fingers that no longer work - I AM YOUR GIRL!!?! I can definitely provide the entertainment!!
These are great. Mine is multicolor as others have done to use up yarn; 44 rows per color. 9 bands of color will be just under 70".
Also working on a newborn hat - made a sample of bubble stitch next to blackberry stitch to see which looks cuter for a bunch of grapes hat on lime green soft cotton/nylon yarn (don't know gender yet). Can't send photo but for those who know these stitches, what do you think?
I also did not get the link to the Knitting get together on Zoom but I did purchase yarn from Purl and tried a couple of patterns. I did fine with the mistake rib scarf until I tried to add the second color. I also did better with the straight needles. I enjoyed the knitting tips and hope to join the group next time.
I would love to host here in Auburn, Ca some afternoon when it works well for everyone. Knitting with you is so fun! 🤗

Beautiful job ladies! I am still practicing, but I find that ribbed pattern very relaxing to knit once you get in the groove
