I have fallen far behind in my reading. I told myself I would read just one tonight. And then I got to the end, and well, you hooked me in for one more. This is quite enjoyable. I’m definitely going to need a glass of wine. ♥️🍷

Kate from Brooklyn here. E.Jean, fun story for you and a very NYC moment. My husband came home the week you were in court so excited “Guess who I just saw walking across Houston Street?” Knowing I wouldn’t be able to guess who, he then related “I saw this very attractive woman, dressed stylishly, nicely styled hair, with dark sunglasses, when suddenly it hit me who she was!” He told me he politely walked up to you and Thanked You for all that you were doing, and said that “In our house, you name is held in reverence.” Needless to say, he has proudly shared his NYC moment with friends and family. You made his day!

As for me, I’m a Nicole Wallace junky and saw the interview with you and Mary (another admired name in our home) and was immediately intrigued. I’m enjoying this terrific endeavor by the three of you mega-talented Besties and look forward to spending time with this fascinating community you’ve created.

I don’t knit, but do crochet afghans, make my own jar candles and recently got hooked on Diamond Dotting. I’m also a very devoted Doggie Mama and saw that you have some big adorable fur babies. I imagine you dote over yours much like me and can’t imagine life without them.

Much Gratitude to the three of you and Big Hugs of Thanks 💖

I’m loving this! I’m Carol Reilly from further Upstate NY. Despite my name, in addition to my Irish heritage, I also am Italian. My grandfather was from Calabria and only spoke Italian. I picked up some but could never carry a conversation. Maybe this will spur me to learn. Cheers!

Hi, Carol, how much farther Upstate are you? I just sold my house in Ithaca last year but transplanted to Florida’s east coast in 2018. Also loving this novel and of course I love its creators!

Sitting outside on my back porch in Birmingham AL this lovely Saturday morning, thoroughly enjoying this and a good cup of coffee! Thank you all ☺️ but is this a romance or a mystery?! 🤔

Hey E. Jean, let Mary know that I feel the same way as the Anastasia character in that I can't stand superficial conversations about things like makeup (that I don't wear myself), dating shows etc. so I feel a kinship with her.

"But despite the coziness, there was not a speck of dust floating through the beams of light." - the mysteries of light and visual perception...nicely done.

Mary will be on Lawrence tonight (Friday); but I suspect she won't be talking about "beams of light."

I don't think that editor and shoe aficionado Jen would approve replacing "beams of light." with "dumpster fires."
