Perfect! I ,too, have always had an active imagination. I love your last sentence. That is my Idea of a cliffhanger!

Wild times in our country. We need Anastasia and Danilo to break up the tension, or, add to it !

Thank you for caring!

I agree, we may be on the precipice of finding out some important information!! If only we could get into the mind of the author!

All right ladies!! Now that I have recovered from a nasty f!u! Is our Heroine ,a former assassin? A spy running away from her job,? Or a woman fleeing from a broken relationship, or , devastating loss? Or, a mix of all of them!. And, Danilo ,a cad or ????. I so enjoy reading everyone's comments! This is definitely a like minded group!

Polly, I'm so glad that you have recovered from a nasty flu and are back! We may need to send out a reconnaissance or extraction team if Anastasia finds herself in trouble. Although, is that even her real name? I'm clearly going to need to learn some Italian and brush up on some James Bond attack/defense techniques in preparation for this adventure.

I'll be ready! I freely admit that I have a very active imagination. I already see this as a possible 10-volume romance/mystery/adventure/thriller series that may require "safe sites" all across the globe...and since we seem to have a number of subscribers from all across the globe...well, you can envision my internal struggle. (Meanwhile, Anastasia ends up simply walking down the street to pick up a cannoli from a local bakery and hears a rustling sound up ahead...)

I’m finally all caught up! You know what book comes to mind as I’m reading this? “The Broker” by John Grisham. And it’s probably been 15 yrs since I read it.

Hello, Can I listen to the Backstory Serial? I am sure I am missing something obvious, but how do I do that? Thanks so much. Laurie Jurs

Hey E. Jean- why were these specific names chosen for the characters? Also, these installments are just the right amount of teasing for the next installment. Love this whole idea so much.

Oh my. Now I need to go back and review what came before. Perhaps follow the steps or clues I missed. May I have some more please!

I spent some time in Siena a few years ago....a walled hill town in Tuscany. Mary’s excellent writing is taking be back there. I too noticed the ethereal afternoon light. Never the same two days in a row.

Good Memories! Thank you!

I'm beginning to wonder if a ghost or spirit is present since something feels off. We may need a cleansing ritual of sorts...

Wait, what??! You're leaving us hanging again?! Anastasia's standing amid snow-dusted ruins with Mr. Vile and we now know that this girl's got some baggage and he's in on it...but we're not! Tuesday cannot come soon enough! Thank you for this cup of Marrochino to lift my spirits. This well-painted story is the perfect escape from the hellish Fuckscape that is current America. Grazie!!

Mine too and I hate coffee. I know. Sacrilege! It sounds delicious, but I know I wouldn't really like it. Now, just the hot chocolate part, yes! Oh, well, I will just have to dream.
