Another truly luscious choice for this: Woolfolk Tynd. By weight a fingering weight, it is so light and lofty that it can be knit at a DK gauge up to 5.5 stitches per inch, yet it has a lovely twist and will show off the subtle textures of this stitch pattern. If you're looking for something in bright colors, this isn't going to be your best choice, but if you want something in understated color either light or dark that is deliciously soft to the skin, it's 21 micron merino and that's hard to beat. Widely available too.
